HR Deposit System (reward-style)

If you check in normally and participate in the daily lucky bag draw (bonus points / tokens), you usually don’t need to worry about H&R.

1) TL;DR

HR turns “download-and-run prone” torrents into a reward-style FREE:

  • A deposit is deducted when you download
  • If you meet the requirement in time: deposit is returned + bonus upload is granted (effectively “FREE” )
  • If you meet it late: the bonus starts to decay (less reward the later you finish)
  • If you still fail by the end of the window: deposit is returned, bonus is 0

2) Glossary (read this first)

  • Deposit: the upload credit deducted when you download.
  • Deposit percent: deposit = real downloaded × deposit percent.
  • Bonus (extra refund): extra upload credit granted after you meet the requirement (usually torrent size × X%).
  • Minimum retention: you must seed at least this long before any refund logic can apply (e.g. 24h).
  • Per-torrent ratio: uploaded / downloaded for this specific torrent only.
  • Seedtime: seeding time counted by the tracker.
  • Progress: real downloaded / torrent size.
  • Window / Deadline: after you stop seeding, you get a grace period. If you still don’t meet the requirement, it becomes a violation.

3) Current parameters (from the site database)

These values can be adjusted in staff settings; this page shows the current configuration.

  • HR enabled: ON
  • Deposit percent: 100%
  • Minimum retention: 24h
  • Bonus percent (full reward): 95%
  • Target time: 72h (reach per-torrent ratio 1.0 within this time to get full bonus)
  • Bonus decay: -1 percentage point per hour after the target time (95%→94%→93%…)
  • Tier 1: progress < 10% AND real downloaded < 1 GiB
  • Tier 2: progress < 50% (no bonus for Tier 2; treated as a normal torrent when the window ends)
  • Tier 2 window: 7 days (deposit is returned; no bonus)
  • Tier 3 window: 7 days
  • Base seeding time by size (GiB → hours):
    • 0-10=36
    • 10-20=72
    • 20-50=120
    • 50-200=168
    • 200+=336

4) One table to understand HR (10GB example)

Assume you download a 10GB HR torrent and you seed for at least 24 hours (minimum retention).

Your situationDeposit (10GB)Bonus (extra upload)In one sentence
Reach per-torrent ratio 1.0 within 72h (real upload = 10GB)returned+9.5GBeffectively “FREE”
Reach ratio 1.0 on day 4returnedbonus starts to decay (less the later you finish)still rewarded, but not that “FREE” anymore
Still not ratio 1.0 when the window endsreturned+0no bonus; this is basically like downloading a normal torrent

Notes:

  • “Window ends” means the HR completion window (currently 7 days).
  • The deposit is just “deduct then return” — it’s not extra profit. What you actually gain is your real upload + the bonus upload.
  • Deposit/bonus are added to your Uploaded; your Downloaded still increases (real download is always counted).

5) A concrete balance example (100/100 → 119.5/110)

Assume you start with: Uploaded=100GB, Downloaded=100GB. You download a 10GB HR torrent:

  • After download: Downloaded=110GB; deposit 10GB is deducted → Uploaded=90GB
  • You upload 10GB within the target time (per-torrent ratio reaches 1.0) → Uploaded=100GB
  • Settlement: deposit 10GB is returned + bonus 9.5GB is granted → Uploaded=119.5GB

So after meeting HR: Uploaded=119.5GB, Downloaded=110GB.

6) What you should do

  • Use a whitelisted client (see “Client whitelist”)
  • Keep your global ratio ≥ 0.6 (see “Ratio”)
